چکیده

Abstract Background Although panicle blast is more destructive to yield loss than leaf in rice, the cloned genes that function resistance are still very limited and molecular mechanisms underlying remain largely unknown. Results In present study, we have confirmed three Oxalate oxidase ( OXO ) genes, OsOXO2 , OsOXO3 OsOXO4 from a blast-resistant cultivar BC10 rice. The expression of were induced by inoculation. Subcellular localization analysis revealed proteins all localized nucleus cytoplasm. Simultaneous silencing decreased rice blast, whereas overexpression plants individually showed enhanced resistance. More H 2 O higher levels PR observed overexpressing control plants, while exhibited less lower compared plants. Moreover, phytohormone treatment signaling related gene mediated was associated with activation JA ABA pathways but suppression SA pathway. Conclusion positively regulate could modulate accumulation be regulated ABA, JA, may

Molecular mechanism of Pb1-mediated panicle blast resistance in rice

Background In Japan, an average of 22 billion yen is spent annually for agrochemicals in order to control rice damage caused by the blast disease. Thus, blast resistance is one of the most important targets of rice breeding. Several blast resistance genes have been identified so far. However, many of them are effective against particular races of blast fungi only and the resistance against the ...

Relationship between Disease Resistance and Rice Oxalate Oxidases in Transgenic Rice

Differential expression of rice oxalate oxidase genes (OsOxO1-4) in rice leaves (Oryza sativa L.) in response to biotic stress was assayed using RT-PCR. OsOxO4 was induced transiently at 12 h in plants inoculated with the pathogens of bacterial blight and that of the wounding control. Inoculation with the rice blast pathogen induced OsOxO2 expression compared to the mock spray control. Overexpr...

Assessment of Rice Panicle Blast Disease Using Airborne Hyperspectral Imagery

Rice blast disease occurs in rice production areas all over the world and is the most important disease in Japan. Remote sensing techniques may provide a mean for detecting disease intensity for large area without being subjected to raters. This study evaluated the use of airborne hyperspectral imagery to measure the severity of panicle blast in field crops. Hyperspectral remote sensing imagery...

The Mediation Mechanism for Flood-Induced Rice Blast Field Resistance

Rice blast, an erratic niche disease incited by Magnaporthe grisea Cav., frequently limits rough rice yields and grower cultivar options in Arkansas rice production areas. Scientists poorly understand why some blast-susceptible varieties such as ‘Newbonnet’, ‘LaGrue’, ‘Mars’, and ‘Cypress’ become increasingly more blast resistant if grown in continuously flooded soil. A greenhouse depth-of-floo...
